Asia cup Started 30th August 2023.
After more of debates, the Asia Cup 2023 is finally going to be held, with the opening matches play Pakistan, left matches will be held in Sri Lanka.
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was to host the Asia Cup
2023, but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) had already made it
clear that the Indian cricket team would not play Pakistan for the Asia Cup.
The PCB is hosting the Asia Cup 2023, but only four of the
total 13 matches will be played in Pakistan. The first match of Asia Cup 2023
will be played in Multan on August 30, in which Nepal will face Pakistan.
Three matches will be played in Kandy while the remaining
six matches will be played in Scotland. The match between India and Pakistan
will be held in Kandy on 2 September.
On the other hand, on September 10, there can be a match
between India and Pakistan in the Super Four stage, which will be played by
Colcot.
Asia Cup 2023 will see at least two matches between India
and Pakistan. The PCB had earlier said that it would not become a hybrid model
in the Asia Cup event, but after that it had to accept defeat. This year the
ICC World Cup is being hosted by India and the Asia Cup is also being played in
certified international passports.
The year the T20 World Cup is held, the Asia Cup is played
in T20 ODIs and is still a valid World Cup, so the Asia Cup will be played in
T20 ODIs. Six records are participating in the Asia Cup 2023, records from
India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka apart from Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal are
participating in this event. Nepal will enter the Asia Cup for the first time.
India has been winning the maximum titles in the history of
Asia Cup.
India has won a total of seven Asia Cup titles, while Sri
Lanka has won the title six times and Pakistan twice. Group A consists of
Pakistan, India and Nepal, while Group B consists of Sri Lanka, Afghanistan and
Bangladesh. The final match will be played on September 17 at the R Premadasa
Stadium in Colorado.
